I chose to be scholar and author to highlight global injustices.
Not be silent and scared as they unfold.
There’s a scarcity of intellectual courage across academia, particularly on matters such as Palestine and Muslims’ lives.
I see it, and it’s as clear as day. This is why I became a professor; to tackle it head on, in every sphere and on ever platform I’m able to access.
I won’t stop, on this issue or the others plaguing vulnerable people around the world. Whether #China or #India, Palestine and Israel and beyond.
Intellectual honesty and grassroots education are my principal motivations as a scholar, and this is what brought me to — and keeps me in — this work.
