No, it is not in an Arab country.
No, it is not in a Muslim country.

It is in South Africa 🇿🇦
Cape Town to be exact.

In the heart of Bo Kaap, the colorful, vibrant and Muslim district of Cape Town, high in the hills overlooking the city skyline.

I recently visited Bo Kaap, and met with the artist of this mural - @muralsforgaza.

He gave me a personal tour and description.

The mural screams out South Africa’s rooted solidarity with Gaza, and Bo Kaap’s sublime and scattered array of Pro-Palestinian art, graffiti, and murals.

It was a pleasure to meet with the community, and an honor to stand in solidarity with the residents of #BoKaap and #CapeTown who embody what it means to be an ally to Gaza.

There are few places as resoundingly pro-Palestinian as South Africa, and fewer places as staunchly anti-genocide as Bo Kaap.

They are my people.
They are my family.
This is my home away from home.
