Two weeks before she was killed in an Israeli airstrike, journalist Ayat Khadoura posted this video, titled “My final message to the world”.

On this #HumanRightsDay, we want to honor the journalists of #Gaza who risk their lives to document #HumanRights violations that #Israel is subjecting Gaza's civilians to.

Since 7 October, Ayat Khadoura and 55 of her colleagues have been killed in Gaza.

Without journalists on the ground, the war’s atrocities and human consequences will go unreported. We cannot allow that to happen.

The images and testimonies that journalists have been sharing for more than two months were meant to move the leaders of this world to do their job: To protect civilians and uphold international law.
