The Impact Of White Phosphorous

'There are a lot of people who are killed with extensive burns, very deep, full-layer burns down to the bone'. Dr. Mokhallalati from Al Shifa hospital explains what happens to victims of white phosphorous bombs, and what makes these burns more lethal. White phosphorus is a toxic chemical, which smells like garlic. It ignites on contact with oxygen, is difficult to extinguish, and sticks to skin and clothing. This video was filmed prior to the recent siege of Al Shifa hospital by Israeli forces.
